Q-SunShade™ SPF 30+ Tinted Zinc Oxide Sunscreen with Z-COTE® Green Tea & Vitamins D &E: International Cosmeceuticals, Inc. announces the newest addition to its family of clinical skincare products. The perfect combination of broad-spectrum sun protection, color, and moisture with all the benefits of vitamins and antioxidants to help protect and restore the skin from the damage of Ultraviolet Light.

Scientific Studies have demonstrated that Green Tea Polyphenols afford significant protection against sun damage, UV induced immunosuppression and skin cancer. In human volunteers, application of Green Tea extracts resulted in inhibition of acute UV-induced erythema (sunburn) and inhibited the influx of inflammatory cells. They also reduced the DNA damage from UV radiation exposure and show multiple chemo-preventative activities.

Q-SunShade™ SPF 30+ can be safely used immediately following any non-surgical procedure The need for adequate SPF coverage in combination with the use of microdermabrasion, non-ablative laser treatments and chemical peels is critical.

This Product combines the benefits of:
SPF 30+ Zinc Oxide (Z-Cote®) Broad ..Spectrum UVA/UVB Protection
3 convenient shades Light/Medium/Dark to blend with all skin types.

1. NANOTECHNOLOGY exploits structures smaller than a wavelength of light. Light waves are 400 to 800 nanometers (nm) in length. Specifically the particles of Z-Cote® micronized Zinc Oxide used in Q-Sunshade™ are just such nano-particles. A special process is used to separate these microscopically small particles and at this extreme small size, these tiny particles when dispersed well, can block 4 to 8 times as much UV light as normal Zinc Oxide.

2. SUNCREEN SYNERGISM is a term which means that some combinations of sunscreen ingredients provide more protection when used together than when used separately. Q-Sunshade™ uses a proprietary synergistic combination of Micronized Zinc Oxide and Octinoxate in a light bending layer which works two ways to prevent UV damage. It both reflects and absorbs dangerous UV rays.

3. HIGH UVA BLOCKING is an attribute not measured by many sun protection brands. The SPF number as specified and approved by the FDA measures only UVB protection. UVA protection is very important for reducing your risk of skin cancer, especially Melanoma and it is also is the main culprit that causes photo damage and photoaging of the skin. Research at Brookhaven National Labs has determined that UVA light is the main trigger for the most deadly form of skin cancer, Melanoma. Q-Sunshade™ blocks 80% or more of the UVA rays at all UVA wavelengths. No other brand we know of is making that claim.

4. CONTROLLED DOSAGE is a very new technology in the sunscreen field. The first scientific papers on controlling the level of applied sunscreen films have just been published. The concept is simple, but the means to achieve this advance is very sophisticated. Ingredients which retard the spread of a product applied topically to your skin will result in a thicker layer of material when the product dries. In sunscreens, this equals better protection In tinted make-up products this equals smoother and more uniform color than is available in any similar product on the market. The Ingredients which control spreading are called “Leveling Agents”.

EVALUATION OF SUN PROTECTION FACTOR

A batch of standard production samples utilized for Quintessence Skin Science Q-Sunshade™ was subjected to an abbreviated SPF Determination Method as prescribed and approved by the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA).

Results of this testing provided an SPF Rating for this product of SPF 31.5. This is the result of the several remarkable new discoveries mentioned previously. The potency of this combined technology is clear, because this product contains the lowest and safest level of active sunscreen of any comparable SPF rated sun product in the market. Q-Sunshade™ utilizes only 6% overall sunscreen active ingredients to achieve an SPF of 31.5.

For comparison, most major brands require almost twice as much sunscreen active ingredients to achieve an SPF of 30 and require generally at least 6% to achieve an SPF of only 15.

SUMMARY

- Q-Sunshade is the current technological leader in the very fast moving scientific field of sun protection.
- Q-Sunshade’s great efficiency is achieved by a combination of advances not available even 1 year ago.
- The SPF and UVA test results verify this products claims to technological superiority.

Q-Sunshade™ is the most efficient sun protection product available in any market in the world today. It is designed for daily wear, to deliver real broad spectrum UVB & UVA protection continuously.
